Let’s bring our dancing bodies out of the studio into our original habitat; the forests, the fields, the dunes, the sea. Through dancing with the elements, we remember that we are part of something bigger.

Life is a continuous dance between all kinds of bodies - human and non-human. The stars, the moon, the waters. The soil, the sun, the plants, our breath. One complex interplay of life forms.

The Island offers a unique natural playground with a variety of landscapes were we can truly feel into this interconnectedness, as a lived experience.

During this gathering, we dance with the question:
𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙖 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮?

Being part of western society, we inevatably contribute to a system which causes disbalance on different levels. Capitalism and patriarchy fuel social inequality. We witness dehumanizing wars and unprecedented environmental crisis. We lost touch with natural cycles.

How can we respond?

Through Contact Improv dance, we investigate our own identities, social conditioning, and perspectives on life. We turn to Nature as our primal teacher and mirror, to learn about ourselves. By tapping into our intuitive body intelligence and non-lineair pathways of perceiving the world, we seek for new (or ancient) insights on how to relate to the world. We create, we play, we move and transform.

We aim to co-create a safe space were we can honestly and authentically be and express ourselves. We stand for gender/sexual/racial diversity, equity and inclusiveness, reverence for nature, and community building.

We stay on a beautiful camping farm, 1 km from the forest and dunes and 4.5 km from the sea side. It's gonna be a camping style weekend! We sleep in tents on the campsite.
There is a big dance floor in the barn. We will also dance in several spots in nature.
